Today was our wards egg hunt this morning. We woke up to a cold and raining day. We thought for sure the egg hunt would be canceled but we decided to go to see if anyone showed up. And sure enough, people were there with their ponchos, umbrellas and baskets! They had a good turn out for being in the rain. We first had some muffins, fruit and juice and then they gathered all the kids together to start the egg hunt. The big field where they originally were going to hide all 1,000 eggs was all muddy so they found a small area next to the playground to look for eggs. As they were running all around gathering eggs, Samantha fell on her bottom and got muddy. But it didn't stop her from having fun. They both got a lot of eggs, probably triple in what they would of got if all the kids showed up. So we learned that it doesn't matter what the weather is like, kids will do anything for candy!

I was wondering if they were going to have it. Don't tell my kids. I told them it was canceled because of the rain so they wouldn't feel bad when we had to pick dad up at the airport at the exact same time as the egg hunt.
I couldn't believe the weather today either!! Our egg hunt was on too and Elodie loved it!! Chris liked it because the whole thing lasted 35 minutes instead of an hour!
Wow, your girls are serious egg hunters! Looks like they really enjoyed themselves!

You are so right. Kids will do anything for candy. Of all days it actually rains in Phoenix, on easter of all days.
You guys are crazy! I wouldn't have even gone out in the rain! I'm glad the girls had a blast and are enjoying all of their candy!
