New Years Weekend

For New Years weekend we went to Safford to be with Jake's family. All of Jake's brothers and sisters were there, well except one who couldn't come down from Las Vegas. On New Years Eve we just hung out Jake's uncle Clay's house. We really didn't do a lot because I think a lot of people were too tired. Some of the guys just sat on the couch watching old movies. I tried to get some people to play games but no body seemed in the mood. So we left there about 10pm to go stay at a hotel. We usually don't stay in a hotel there but our good friend JJ and Natalie gave us their coupon for a 1 free night at the Comfort Inn. Very nice of them! Jake and Samantha both went to sleep about 11pm while Kayla and I stayed up till midnight parting it up in the lobby! haha All we did was play on the hotel computers till midnight and then went to sleep. So pretty much our New Years Eve celebration was pathetic.

The next day, New Years day we had a fun day! We went up to Mt. Graham and played in the snow. The girls were so excited since they only get to play in the snow once a year! We did a little bit of sliding down hills and I got to make yellow snow! LOL I tried to get Samantha to join me but she chickened out! We ate chili beans that Jake's mother made and hot chocolate, yum!

Me looking like a dork, and the girls looking cute all bundled up!

Everyone enjoying the good food!

My niece Rilee climbed into this hole that someone made! Maybe it was her, I don't know. But I thought she looked cute laying there so I took a picture!

Later that day we hung out at uncle Clay's house again, ate dinner and had a slide show of old pictures of Jake and his family. Jake's family are big on slide shows so we always look forward to seeing them! The next day, Saturday, we got up early and had our Christmas gift exchange, lunch and took some pictures at an old building that used to be the Safford library. We had fun time, the pictures outside didn't turn out as good as we would of liked because the sun was shining in our faces. But there were some pictures we took inside that turned out ok.

This is how it was for us outiside, way too bright!

Later that evening my nephew Brendan(above) got baptized. He's living in Texas with his mom and stepdad but because we were all together and most of his family lives in AZ, they decided it would be best to have the baptism in Safford. On Sunday we headed back home, it was a nice visit and look forward to seeing them again soon!
