Samantha's Preschool

This week it was my turn to teach preschool. We have preschool on Mondays and Wednesdays for 3 hours each, it seems like a long time but when you plan lots of activities it goes by fast. They learned about the letter "P" and my theme was about painting and pigs. I decided it would be fun to have the girls put on a play for their mothers of The 3 Little Pigs. So I incorporated painting and pigs by having the girls paint the houses on cardboard boxes. They also made their own snouts, ears and tails. They did other types of painting like finger painting and water coloring.

These girls are the most dramatic and emotional 4 yr olds I've ever dealt with! One minute they love each other then the next minute their fighting like they hate each other! Its so frustrating! When we were practicing the play outside, one by one they started arguing and crying saying they didn't want to do the play anymore. Ahhh! But after we all calmed down, we tried again but this time inside the house and everything was fine. It was a really warm day so maybe that was the problem, I don't know. When the mothers came, we did the play and it turned out really cute!
I have a video of the play, but its too long to post because the camera was set up recording after the play was over. Is there anyone who knows how to make videos shorter?

Lisa-while I was thinking about it, I thought I'd just leave a message telling you how I have my link lists- In just the same way as when you set up your friends and family lists in the first place, you go to "customize" then "add a gadget". the top "gadget" will say "Blog List (New!) this is the one you want- it replaces the old "link list" which is further down but still works great for other webites you might visit. From this you can title it whatever you want ie- "friends", "family" etc, and then you can choose what to show in the list- name of blog, title of post, snippet of current post, thumbnail of picture, etc.

I hope this helps. I love it because I can see who updated recently, so I don't have to waste time checking every single blog daily in the hopes that somebody updated. here's a disclaimer though- it's not always 100% accurate, but pretty good though.
